RANCHO CALIFORNIA CHAPEL This little chapel began not as a dream of one couple but by the hand of God pushing and pulling one couple, Dick and Kathy Dickinson, who came here in March 1999 to purchase a lot. They retired in May 1999 and took off traveling. When they purchased they noticed an old wooden cross on the mountain overlooking the resort and both commented to each other as they left that they felt God might have a work for them here. Their idea was to teach Bible Studies. God’s idea was Rancho California Chapel. The idea to have a church service here had been planted in their mind by a salesperson, however, the actual work for the service was not promoted by anyone. They actually started with 4 people, two of them were Dick and Kathy. Dick taught with a turned over milk crate and Kathy led prayer and singing by using a Bose radio and cds. The chapel had rough beginnings with some voicing support but no help was given, others were underhanded in their objections and caused a lot of oppression for the chapel. However, God heard the prayers of Dick and Kathy to send just one couple who would be supportive of the ministry and that he did in 2004 when he sent numerous couples with various abilities to help with the vision. The first offering was taken in 2001 fall after a sweet young couple named Tammy and Drew Davis spoke and shared their desire to go to Newcastle, England to serve in ministry. We began taking an offering then and that was the beginning of God pouring out His blessings slowly on us. We then met Dr. Ana and Dr. Bill Moody who were considering giving up their practices in Fallbrook and going to China. This was in 2004 and once again we decided to support them on a monthly basis. By now we support eight missions: one local to our needy and poor and another to the troups in Afganistan and then six oversea missions. We feel that because of the generousity of this chapel, God has abundantly poured out His blessings on us. Our founding pastor, Dr. Dick Dickinson, was taken home to be with his Lord on Nov. 21, 2009 after 2 ½ years of lung cancer. Now a new well lit cross stands on the mountain overlooking the resort in memory of Dick and in praise to God for His loving hand in the molding of this chapel here at Rancho California RV Resort.
You really must set aside the next five minutes to read BOTH of these reports and pray for the E3 team. MONDAY We have finished our first day of work in a rural village in Northern Ethiopia. As always, taking the gospel message to the 30 different homes we visited and then seeing phenomenal results as approximately 115 people prayed with us to profess faith in Christ for salvation. After every gospel presentation I asked people if they\\\\\\\'d ever heard this message before...and everyone said, no, we have never heard this. You cannot imagine the thrill of sharing this all important message with people who has never had the opportunity to be saved because no one has ever told them! THIS ONE IS FOR SMILES AND PRAYERS: On a personal note, to see my wife on the dirt floor of an African mud hut kneeling with the Evangecube in front of a captivated group of adults to tell them about Christ...well, life just does not get much better than that for me. I\\\\\\\'d rather have that kind of wife than a gorgeous S. California blonde...is it not nice that God gave me both! Trafficking and our new Priceless Cube Just yesterday a 15 year old girl got her passport picture taken and explained that she was scheduled to leave with the \\\\\\\"Conductor\\\\\\\" next week for a country in the Middle East. After hearing the Priceless cube presentation her father said he would not allow her to go. We made presentations in 30 homes and in many of those locations people had been personally impacted by human trafficking and they were compelled to take action to protect against further trafficking in their area. We are praising God for intervening to protect these beautiful people. TUESDAY Our second day was another incredible experience. It is so exciting to be able to share the message of Christ and the purpose of His life, death & resurrection with others who have never been taught that message before! Visiting in typical mud floor, dung wall & grass roof Ethiopian huts we were always welcomed and had a very attentive audience. Whether it was just the immediate family who lived there or neighbors or other relatives coming to see these strange white people, the house was usually full with the overflow crowd filling the doorway. One of our teams was able to lead an Orthodox Priest to Christ and he seemed to readily grasp his role in telling others the same message he just heard and embraced. All in all, approximately 170 people made a profession of faith in our Savior. As we visited in the 30 different homes almost everyone acknowledged that women and children are being taken to Arab countries. We heard how fathers would compete to see who could get the highest price for their 14 year old daughters so they could build larger houses. Can you even begin to fathom how any father or husband could send his child or wife away just so he could get some more money? One wise older Ethiopian man mused how 100 years ago the men were being taken away into slavery to Western countries and today the women and children are being taken to Mid-East countries. We\\\\\\\'re sad over the reality of trafficking as we see it face to face, yet happy that we can begin to educate the people on it\\\\\\\'s reality. And, we\\\\\\\'re thrilled as we see so many putting their faith entirely in Christ for their salvation. Please continue to pray that local churches will be planted everywhere we\\\\\\\'ve worked to continue to proclaim Christ and fight this insidious battle against trafficking. Everyone is in good health and flying high over how God is working. Thanks for making this all possible through your prayers. Rick for all

Your prayers for those in need and, especially, those not yet knowing salvation in Christ Jesus are being set aside as rewards in Heaven. You know how much I value our partnership with this small, powerful ministry. I honestly believe that your prayers specifically for Intercomm and their multitude of unpaid national workers will be tallied in your rewards column when you meet Jesus as the Bema (Ok, ok…I know I get into the deep weeds sometimes, but for we who have been saved by faith have been saved TO (not by) works (see Ephesian 2:10) and will discuss your contribution with Jesus himself at the believers judgment, the place where your works for the Kingdom are accounted for.
